Attn Homeschoolers, Zumba is a fun way to take PE classes!
So grab some friends and come take a Zumba class!!!
With every new year, we refresh our goals about weight loss and fitness. With every new year, it is becoming more and more important to do exactly that - get fit and be healthy.
According to the most recent statistics from the World Health Organization:
You have already begun to help others to achieve their goals by taking Zumba classes.
Here are simple ideas to consider and share with your friends and family
1-Breakfast is KEY. Boxed cereal isn't the best option. Try boiling a half a cup of water (takes less than a minute to bring it to a boil), toss in 1/4 cup of whole grain (buy it in bulk at the health food store for 89 cents a pound!), stir for 10 seconds and then let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Cover and pull off of the stove. In the meantime, chop some fresh or frozen strawberries, stir them in, add a tablespoon of chopped pecans and sprinkle with a tablespoon of maple syrup. Add a splash of lite soy milk. Enjoy with a hot cup of herbal tea. You won't believe the difference in the way you feel throughout the morning in comparison to no breakfast, grabbing just a latte, or some type of drive thru fast food.
2-Drink water. If you drink something that contains carbohydrates, it simply is not a beverage, it's a food. Water should be your beverage of choice. When you are hungry, drink water first. Often times, thirst is mistaken for hunger.
3-Supplement. Keep it simple but do the basics. The FDA has a basic guideline for supplementation. Generally, food consumption alone does not provide all the nutritional demands your body needs, especially if you are exercising.
4-Use fruit and raw nuts or healthy protein bars in-between classes or whenever you feel that afternoon fatigue. They work!
5-Eat something every few hours. Fasting doesn't work. You'll end up consuming more food in the evenings and you'll never feel satisfied.
6-Don't eat after 7pm. I know this can be difficult, especially for those who teach/take Zumba classes in the evenings. But it is a sure way to drop those extra holiday pounds fast.
Good luck on your journey to fitness!
